Corona Virus Message from Rev Brad

March 21, 2020

Greetings!

We find ourselves in a different time, with concerns for what is commonly know as the “Corona Virus”.

As West Barre United Methodist Church, we are challenged with the question of how to move forward safely, Kane to grow in our faith and in our trust in God.

To that end, our committees will not be meeting at the present time.

We have asked that no gatherings take place in the church building for at least the next two weeks.

For our Sunday worship, we plan to do two things.

First, it is our plan to be live on Facebook tomorrow at 9:00am.

We have not done this before, and we will try to make this operative by tomorrow morning.

Our Facebook name is West Barre UMC

Second, we will be videotaping the worship to be put on the website for West Barre UMC. Exactly when the video will be available, we don’t know at this time. Our hope is that later in the day tomorrow, it will be added to our website. Our website name is westbarreumc.org.

The live streaming and video will enable some sense of worship without being in the building.

My hope is that t will enable you to find the peace, and the strength, and the direction that comes with growing in the faith.

At this time, we cannot predict what will happen week by week.

West Barre UMC has been a faithful congregation since the 1800’s.

We know that whatever happens, we will not cease worshiping God, nor doing God’s work in this community, and communities around the world.

In God’s Peace.

Rev. Brad Hunt
